Although now part of a major group, five generations of the same family have been responsible for the basic lambic and its siblings. So well known is the Gueuze that a famous Brussels hospital, somewhat insensitively, had it as the first beer on the list offered to patients. Fruity, silky, honey sweet at first but hiding a real acidity.
