The brewery of Silly is situated south of Brussels on the way to Mons. Although a small brewery it produces almost one example of each type of Belgium beer (wheat, abbey, scotch, saison, pale ale, pils).

With such a large repertoire you would expect the brewers talent to be spread quite thinly. I sure not all there beers are classics but the Scotch and certainly the Saison are well appreciated and worthy contributors to Belgium's beer reputation.

The beer is itself is light drink with a familiar 'saison' type flavour blended with strong hint of brown ale and fruit. The combination is well crafted and highly enjoyable - definitely one for a summers evening.

PS: The bottle colour should be darker but I drank the contents before the photo session!
