Achel Trappists started brewing only in 1998.At first, the monks produced draft beer served at the monastery to those who cycled there through the flat country between Antwerp and Eindhoven. They now also bottle several types of beer which are still in constant evolution, always goodbut difficut to describe without being out of date.
